No debate; the only question is its GOTY win.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Baldur’s Gate 3

A storied series given fresh life and absolutely what I would consider the GOTY favorite this year.

I know that it has had its up and downs in public opinion since its release, but, this is a hugely ambitious, mainline Bethesda game.

Is it possible to predict that a game that hasn't yet been released will be nominated? I think there's a chance of that happening.

Spider-Man 2

Even though this game was released back in March, it received a 93 out of 100 on Metacritic, making it yet another beautiful addition to the Capcom franchise.

Resident Evil 4 Remake

Sea of Stars

Fill in some text

I have a feeling that Sea of Stars might be that choice this year, but we'll have to wait and see.

Armored Core VI

It might be a little specialised, but it's really nicely done, so I think it could get a slot here.

Final Fantasy XVI

The latest chapter of the series since 2016 is this action-jRPG. choosing a more mediaeval fantasy feel this time.

Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy easily qualifies for this list thanks to the way Avalanche provided magical spells and depicted the castle of Hogwarts, the town of Hogsmeade, and the surrounding landscape.

Remnant 2

The bosses are difficult and unique from one another; they can be horrible squishy monstrosities. Any ranking of the top video games for 2023 should undoubtedly include this sequel.
